増 上 寺 会 館 3 階 【 桐 の 間 】
全出展作家を対象に「増上寺現代コレクション」最終審査用の作品を展示し、厳正なる審査を行なった上で、同コレクションへの推挙作品、作家を選出致します。 第四回のグランプリに輝くのは、果たしてどの作品！？
「増上寺現代コレクション」は、全国からものづくり作家・クリエーターが集まる「天祭 一〇八」において、今を生きる私達によって選ばれる、現代の作家の作品を、未来へ遺すコレクションとして選ぶ試みです。「天祭 一〇八」に出展する全ての作家・クリエーターを対象とし、各自が一点づつ規定内の審査用作品を増上寺会館「桐の間」に並べます。それらを実行委員会及び毎回の審査員が厳正に審査し、多数票を得た上位三組の作品が「増上寺現代コレクション」収蔵作品として認定されます。選ばれた作品は全て「天祭 一〇八」実行委員会が買い上げ、その後増上寺へと寄贈されます。
こうした毎回の審査〜寄贈を経て、回を重ねるごとに所蔵作品を充実させ、ジャンルを横断した唯一無二の現代コレクションとして後世に残して行く事が、「増上寺現代コレクション」の目的となります。
‘Zojoji Temple Contemporary Art & Craft Collection’ is our attempt to select the great contemporary works and let the future generations inherit the collection as their cultural heritage. The applicants are all the artists at Tensai 108, each select one piece for the competition and exhibit the work in ‘Kirinoma’. The executive committee and judges vote and 3 works which obtain the most votes will be elected as ‘Zojoji Temple Contemporary Art & Craft Collection’.
The executive committee will purchase and donate all of them to the temple. The purpose of ‘Zojoji Temple Contemporary Art & Craft Collection’ is to expand the numbers of the collection and let the next generation inherit them as one and only contemporary collection covering many different genres.
